Description:
As an introduction activity, we created a footprint by tracing our foot, then we were able to add things to it that describe the person we are and things that we enjoy. For this project we had to use 3 different medias (markers, crayon's, stickers, objects, pencils) and it had to include our name. Some of the things I included on my footprint were stickers of a cow, corn and sunflower to resemble my farm. I added a drawing of some flowers to show my love for making flower arrangements, and cotton balls with an airplane to resemble my love for traveling.
Extension Activity:
An extension activity for this project could be involved in our history lessons. My students would make another footprint but for a person we have learned about in our history books. They would follow the same guidelines from our first footprint but include research and find out information from the person they chose. The footprint must have the persons name and many features about their past life and accomplishments. These them will be presented to the class and hung up around the room after.
